This gorgeous Temecula, California Falkner Winery wedding was such a joy to be a part of! Satomi and Tetsushi are such sweet, genuine people and I was thrilled when they asked me to be a part of their special day, becoming Mr. and Mrs. Ogata! The newlyweds are both originally from Tokyo but now live in Southern California. Choosing the stunning Falkner Winery in Temecula for their outdoor wedding ceremony and reception was a no brainer! As you’ll quickly see, Mr. and Mrs. Ogata were full of so much joy on their wedding day that they seriously made my job almost too easy!
The couple chose a palette of lilac, navy, and ivory for their special day and Willa’s Wreaths perfectly wove the colors into all of the floral details of the day. All of the details came together to create a romantic atmosphere for their outdoor wedding ceremony in the gardens. Their ceremony was so interesting to capture because they chose to combine American, Japanese and Buddhist traditions to celebrate, including Buddhist chanting and an exchange of sake. I love when I get to learn about new traditions during wedding days! It’s incredibly special.
Following the ceremony, I stole the newlyweds off to the vineyards for portraits as the sun began to set! It’s so obvious how much they love each other in these portraits!!! When we finished up, we headed into the reception. Family members for both Satomi and Tetsushi traveled from Tokyo to be with these two so it’s no surprise the reception was full of lots of laughs, dancing, and fun!
To the new Mr. and Mrs. Ogata, thank you for having me as part of your incredible day! I had a wonderful time and I wish you two so much love and happiness in the years to come!
A huge thank you to the incredible vendor team that made this day possible!
