Classic Wedding at The Olana

Kendel and Michka had a beautiful classic wedding at the Olana in Hickory Creek, Texas! The Olana is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding because it’s just a stunning estate. I knew from the minute I first spoke with Kendel and Michka that I was going to want to be a part of their wedding day. Their love for each other, their family and friends, is just so powerful. It’s no surprise that their wedding day was so full of that love!

Classic Wedding at The Olana

With a pink and ivory color scheme, Kendel and Michka’s wedding day was just beautiful. I’m always excited to see classic color schemes and these colors fit The Olana perfectly! Kendel and Michka opted to forgo a first look and instead met for the first time at the altar. The amount of emotion charging between Kendel and Michka (and their families!) in that moment was overwhelming. I just love the way Kendel looked at Michka as she walked down the aisle. It was so, so sweet!!

After their emotional wedding ceremony, it was time for their wedding portraits. I know I’ve said it before, but The Olana provides such a wonderful backdrop for romantic wedding photos. Kendel and Michka’s portraits were no exception! I love these moments on a wedding day – the business of the ceremony has calmed and my couples can just soak in the fact that they are MARRIED!!!

Once we finished their portraits, it was time to party! Everyone had so much fun with the live band during the cocktail hour and kept the dance floor full thanks to an amazing DJ. After cutting cake and a private final dance, it was time to send Kendel and Michka into married life with a sparkler exit. Congratulations again, Kendel and Michka! I loved being a part of your beautifully classic wedding at The Olana!
