SMU Engagement Session in Dallas TX

It never ceases to amaze me how many beautiful spots there are in Dallas! Kendra and Sam chose to have an SMU engagement session and I just have to say: great choice! Kendra and Sam are both originally from Maryland but Sam attended SMU for law school. Naturally, it made sense to return to the campus of the place that brought them together. SMU’s campus is just beautiful. The plants and grass were all coming to life which gave us such beautiful colors in their portraits! We explored campus for a bit with their sweet pups chatting about their upcoming wedding day. Before we wrapped things up, we headed downtown for a second outfit and skyline portraits.

Kendra and Sam were such a joy to work with. They chose the most perfect outfits for the SMU session – I mean how cute is her little green dress? Their more casual outfits gave their portraits with their dogs a more playful look. But, I personally don’t think there’s anything better than an excuse to get dressed up together! Kendra and Sam decided on a classic navy suit for him and a sleek black dress for the bride-to-be as their second look. As we moved towards downtown to grab portraits with the city skyline, these outfits were an obvious choice. I always encourage my couples to dress a bit fancier so they have nice portraits of themselves. And then after we’re done? Don’t waste that gorgeous outfit (not to mention hair and makeup!), make it a date night to celebrate and relax from all the wedding stress!

Kendra and Sam will be tying the knot this October at Commerce 2616 and I can’t wait to be a part of their special wedding day! See you in a few months, Kendra and Sam!!
