I cannot get over how gorgeous Melanie is! Photographing her Stoney Ridge Villa bridal portraits was more than a privilege. I had so much fun with Melanie, her mom, and her sister. We cry-laughed multiple times and had so much fun planning and envisioning the big day. What an amazing group of women to spend the day with! Melanie looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress – and I can’t wait to see her again on her wedding day! ⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of my favorite parts about bridal portraits is that they usually take place at your wedding venue. Since we’re spending the time focusing on you there, we get to be creative and find new ways to use your gorgeous Texas venue! Like for Melanie, the shots along the rooftop might not have been as stress-free to plan on a wedding day! Instead, during her bridal portrait session, we had the time to create gorgeous images of her all over the property!
I’ll be honest, bridal portraits are not a thing in Southern California where I am from. When I first moved to Texas and had couples asking about them, I had to Google what they were! But now I am a HUGE fan! Not only do my brides get more portraits of themselves and beautifully framed prints unveiled at their reception, but they get to see their full look before their big day!
This is a great trial run to make sure you like your hair, makeup, and that your gown is fitting exactly the way you want it. Not to mention a great time to learn how to move and pose in your gown. After all, we don’t all walk around in gowns every day! It’s so much fun to watch my brides REALLY become brides in these moments. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
