Dallas Frontiers of Flight Museum Proposal

After meeting on a flight in 2018, Michael and Cathlyn knew their lives were going to be changed forever. I don’t think either of them really realized just how much until a year later. When Michael contacted me about photographing his proposal to Cathlyn, I was so excited. He told me about he was planning an elaborate and romantic surprise for her at the Dallas Frontiers of Flight Museum. And, the chance to document this moment for both of them because SO special to me. That’s what my job is all about!! As more details were planned, I got even more excited and then, finally, it was time!

Dallas Frontiers of Flight Museum Proposal

Michael decided to recreate the day that he and Cathlyn met on a Southwest flight. Since the Dallas Frontiers of Flight Museum has a Southwest plane, he decided it was the perfect spot for the proposal to happen. With a lot of planning, he convinced Cathlyn that she was going to the museum for a commercial shoot. When she found Michael waiting with a ring on the Southwest plane in the museum, she was definitely surprised!! Southwest even surprised the happy couple with a bottle of champagne, engraved with their engagement date and the flight number they met on! How amazing is that?! Michael even had Cathlyn’s family outside the museum to celebrate when it was all over!

The most incredible part of this proposal was that it went viral! Michael and Cathlyn’s proposal was shared on a few different news outlets, which just made every celebration that much sweeter! It was amazing to see their story pop up all around us. I feel SO honored to have been a special part of this incredible proposal and I am beyond happy for these two wonderful people!!!
