I am always looking for amazing companies, causes, and missions to support as a business owner in Dallas, TX and as a female business owner at that. When Bochy’s Place approached me about photographing their Night in White Gala to raise attention and funds for their work with victims of sex trafficking, I knew I had to be a part of this event. Bochy’s Place is a safe home for women rescued from sexual exploitation & trafficking. They break the cycle of exploitation by leading them into a new normal, empowering them to build the character and integrity that will help them stay in that new normal. Every year, they continue to grow and develop new ways to help these women!
Their Night in White Gala is an annual event to welcome guests to learn more about human trafficking and what they’re doing about it. They also discuss how everyone in attendance can help as well! This year, they hosted the gala at The Nest at Ruth Farms, one of my favorite Texas venues! With all-white decorations, their special gold butterflies stood out beautifully. Both the indoor space at The Nest at Ruth Farms and their gorgeous patio were decorated for the event with super fun (yet elegant!) decor. With donations from the community for silent auction, plus a live auction, the night was informative and hugely successful for Bochy’s Place! They even had the chance to screen a new short film (GRACE by Grey Acuna). GRACE is about the stories and reality of sex trafficking and is SO important to see.
They also had their Bochy’s Box setup at the event for guests to sign up for! This subscription box was designed by Bochy’s Place and all proceeds go to the safe house and its programs. Make sure you check it out! I know I learned a lot about how I can do better for these women. And, I look forward to supporting Bochy’s Place for years to come!
